Worbla TranspArt (or Transpa Art) is a clear, non toxic thermoplastic sheet that you can shape with a heat gun and minimal tools for fantastic effects like fire, ice, and more.

This product should be heated to 120°C (250°F), so wearing work gloves with rubberized fingers is strongly recommended. The material cools down after a few minutes but can be reactivated as often as you like, so you can work bit by bit.

Important note: TranspArt is not perfectly clear. Please note that sheets will have lines from the extrusion molding process through the length of the sheet and occasional divots. These can be heated and stretched out when shaping.

Size: Sample (9 by 14 inch)

Keep your tools wet to avoid the TranspArt sticking, and always work over a silicone or parchment paper surface..

When kneaded the material becomes a little milky, so you can create semi-opaque effects as well such as LED-backed stones.

You can paint Worbla's TranspArt with spray-paint, apply a thermal foil used for car detailing, or it can be dyed with iDye Poly and other polyester dyes.

To connect pieces or fuse layers, we recommend using clear superglue. It does not adhere to itself in the same way that regular Worbla does. High Temp hot glue and contact cement also work with TranspArt. We've had folks also use clear packing tape for joins that need to be clear along flat planes.

TranspArt is not suggested for eyewear that will see heavy use and is best for decorative pieces. Looking through plastic that is not optically clear can be unpleasant after long periods of time.

Check out Worbla.com for more information on this product including tutorials and galleries of work.

Additional gallery images here are work made using TranspArt and are not for sale, made by Cowbutt Crunchies and Abraham Levy.
